What is a lab-grown diamond?
A lab grown diamond is a diamond that is produced in a controlled laboratory environment and advanced technological processes that replicate the natural conditions under which diamonds form in the Earth's mantle. Lab grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. They have reduced environmental and ethical concerns associated with diamond mining.
How can you tell the difference between a lab-grown and natural diamond?
Lab-grown and natural diamonds can look identical to the naked eye and cannot be reliably distinguished with standard testing tools. Trained jewellers and experts can’t also tell the difference between them. They can only be distinguished from natural diamonds using specialized equipment that can detect the specific growth patterns and inclusions characteristic of their synthetic origin.
Are Zinara's lab-grown diamonds certified?
Yes, lab grown diamonds are graded and certified by the same gemological laboratories that evaluate natural diamonds. Renowned organizations like GIA, IGI, and SGL provide these certifications. The grading process for lab grown diamonds is identical to that for natural diamonds, ensuring transparency and quality assurance. All lab grown diamonds used in jewellery offered by ZINARA are graded and certified by these laboratory organizations.
What is gold vermeil?
Gold vermeil is 925 sterling silver finished with a layer of gold. Zinara jewellery features 18K gold vermeil with 6 layers of gold plating, making it 5× thicker than standard plating. Our pieces are designed to be waterproof, sweatproof and durable for everyday wear. And when your jewellery eventually needs a refresh, we also offer replating services to restore its finish.

How do I care for my Zinara jewellery?
Zinara jewellery is waterproof, sweatproof and made for everyday wear. That said, a little care can help keep your pieces looking their best for longer. Avoid prolonged exposure to perfumes, harsh chemicals, chlorine and abrasive products, and wipe your jewellery gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. When you're not wearing it, store it in a clean, dry place away from other jewellery.
Why vermeil instead of solid gold?
Gold vermeil gives you the look and long-lasting shine of solid gold jewelry at an accessible luxury price point. Crafted with a thick coating of 18k real gold (at least 2.5 microns) over a 925 sterling silver base, it offers superior durability over standard gold-plated pieces.
Will it tarnish or fade over time?
No, gold vermeil is highly tarnish-resistant and lasts far longer than standard gold plating. With minimal care: avoiding moisture, perfumes, and harsh chemicals, it will retain its shine and gold finish for years.
